RESERVATIONS & PRICING

Tour Only (75 minutes)

Private guided tours have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 guests and must be reserved and paid 21 days in advance. The tour duration is 75 minutes. 

$150 per person

Tour & Lunch Option (150 minutes)

All guest and reservation requirements from above. The lunch option includes a pre-packed midday repast to be enjoyed in the dining room of The Colored Girls Museum with your group.

Things to Know
Before You Visit

  • The Colored Girls Museum, strives to be a welcoming place for all. Please be respectful of our art, docents and staff as we make sure to create an enjoyable experience for everyone. We reserve the right to ask you to leave without an explanation and without a refund. all ticket sales are final for the Colored Girls Museum, Philadelphia, PA. There are no refunds or exchanges.

  • For contactless entry, reserve tickets online before visiting and show them when you arrive.

    Time slots are available for entry from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM, and 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

  • Possession of a firearm and hazardous materials are prohibited in the museum.

  • Travel light, the museum has limited space. Please leave all backpacks, bags larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches, large umbrellas, and selfie sticks/tripods at home or in your car.

    Smaller bags must be carried on one shoulder or handheld.

During Your Visit

  • Our current exhibition is Sit A Spell: An Invitation and An Invocation. You can read more about the exhibit here. (Hyperlink to be added)

  • Parking for cars and SUVs can be parked on Newhall St. Buses and large vans are encouraged to park on Pulaski Ave or Apsley St and have guest walk to Newhall St.

  • TCGM is not a handicap accessible space. We are a small house museum with 3 floors of gallery space.

  • TCGM is open to the public Thursday-Sunday. Thursday-Friday TCGM does appointments by request for groups (ie. Schools, religious organizations, clubs, and programs) of 10 or more between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Saturdays and Sundays TCGM offers 3 guided tours per day with only 10 tickets sold per tour.

    Tours last approximately 55 minutes each.

  • NO eating or drinking inside the museum unless otherwise noted.

  • TCGM has limited items in the shop. Please see our online marketplace for the best selection of items.

  • ● Little ones are welcome—kids under 10 years old are always free.

    ● Masks are optional at this time however we do recommend that guests over the age of 2 wear masks.

  • ● Dirt and oils on our skin can damage artwork so please do not touch.

    ● Keep a safe distance from artwork, about 8 inches or a forearm’s length.

    ● Seating is available throughout the building. Do not sit or step on platforms or ledges.

    ● Take your time: there are stairs.

  • ● You may take photos but no flash, tripods, or selfie sticks.

    ● Your photographs may not be commercially published, sold, reproduced, transferred, or distributed.

    ● When snapping pics, be cautious around artwork and other visitors and stay aware of your surroundings.

    ● During your visit, you may be photographed or filmed by museum staff. We may use these images in signage, printed materials, and online for any purpose, commercial or otherwise.

    ● The museum is able to accommodate parties, group presentations, or formal portrait photography requests through our Special Events Department, please contact thecoloredgirlsmuseum@gmail.com for more information and to book.
